PROF. MATTHIAS RAUE
COMPOSER
Matthias Raue, geboren am 27.August 1952 in Frankfurt am Main ist umgeben von Musikalität aufgewachsen. Nach der Schule studierte er erst Schulmusik an der Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt, dann Komposition an der Hochschule der Künste in Berlin bei Isang Yun.
Seit 1981 arbeitet er als freier Komponist. Neben Kammermusik und Orchesterwerken, sowie Ballett- und Bühnenmusiken hat er vor allem Musik für Film- und Fernsehnproduktionen geschrieben (darunter u.a. die Titelmusik und Lieder zu Löwenzahn).
Er arbeitete u.a. am Schauspiel Frankfurt, TAT Frankfurt, Ohio Theater N.Y.
Als Produzent, Komponist und Musiker gründete er die «Tanit Media GmbH» und das «Tanit Studio».
Seit 1996 leitet Matthias Raue den Studiengang Filmkomposition an der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg.
Matthias Raue, born on August 27, 1952 in Frankfurt am Main, grew up surrounded by musicality. After school, he first studied school music at the University of Music in Frankfurt, then composition at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Isang Yun.
He has been working as a freelance composer since 1981. In addition to chamber music and orchestral works, as well as ballet and stage music, he has primarily written music for film and television productions (including the title music and songs for the German tv-series „Löwenzahn“).
He worked at Schauspiel Frankfurt, TAT Frankfurt, Ohio Theater N.Y.
As a producer, composer and musician, he founded “Tanit Media GmbH” and “Tanit Studio”, today named „Einklang Studio“.
Since 1996, Matthias Raue has headed the film composition course at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg.
